Make and Take

What would an Open House be without a make and take project?

This project has all the fun things we want in a make and take: it is cheap, easy, and fun!

All you'll need are:

A cereal box

Some cardstock

Some patterned paper scraps

A few buttons

Some bits of ribbon

Embellishments of your choice

Adhesive

Trimmer
Scissors
Hole punch

Got it all together? Then let's begin!

Start by cutting 4 panels from the sides of your cereal box:

Panel 1 is 3.75" x 11"

Panel 2 is 3.75" x 10"

Panel 3 is 3.75" x 9"

Panel 4 is 3.75" x 8"

Next, cut your cardstock to match. You will need to double the number of panels, since the cardstock will cover both sides of the cereal box panels.

Round corners, if desired.

Glue cardstock to the fronts and backs of the cardstock.

Decorate!

Punch holes for binding. Use ribbon, post from post-bound album, or binder ring.

This little project uses the Be Merry line from My Mind's Eye, although it would be adorable with any paper set you choose.

Open House

Let's begin by "showing you around" all AC Bailey has to offer.

Have you heard about our Frequent Buyer Club? It's fantastic! With our FBC, you earn FREE scrapbooking supplies just for shopping! What's better than that? You're buying the supplies you already love WHILE earning even more scrappin' supplies. How does it work? For every $25 you spend, you earn one point. When you reach 20 points, you earn $25 in FREE merchandise YOU choose! Best of all, it's free to join, and you don't have to keep track of anything...the system automatically tracks your purchases and rewards you when you've reached 20 points. For more details and to sign up for FBC, click here: http://www.acbaileydesigns.com/page/page/4515314.htm

Next is our Goodies Kit of the Month. Each month, AC Bailey brings you a kit jam-packed with coordinating products. You get some of the industry's most beautiful papers and accessories, all pulled together for you with loads of embellishments and alterables. The best part is that you don't have to sign up for autoship to receive the KOTM (although there are definite advantages to autoship). You can buy each kit ala carte, if you prefer. The stand-alone kit price is $30, which is a great deal for all the product you get. But if you love our Goodies Kits, you'll want to consider the savings you'll have when you sign up for autoship. For a 6-month membership, you get each kit for $25, shipped FREE. And if you choose a one year membership, you save even more! Each kit actually ships FREE to you for only $22 per kit! December Kit of the Month Sneaks

Wow! Two posts in one day!

I have been a busy bee, churning out the projects while I have precious time to do them. I'm afraid I'll have to spend tomorrow cleaning, however. The family will be here for Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Oh, well, enough small talk! I wanted to show you a few projects I've come up with using the December Goodies Kit. I'm telling you, since the moment that kit arrived on my doorstep, I couldn't wait to crack into it.

Have a look!

Merry Christmas Door Hanging:

Next up is a Christmas Organizer - sure to come in handy this holiday season. I got this idea at http://www.symmetry.typepad.com/. She sells the inserts, but I found them just as easy to make myself. Or you can download and print them from http://www.organizedchristmas.com/.

And, finally, a set of Christmas ornaments. These are made from our acrylic mini scallop tag album. I just took it apart and decorated each piece as an ornament. I stamped some of them with a snowflake image in white Stazon ink. Fun!

Hope you like what you see!

November Goodies Kit Projects

Okay, so it feels a little bit like going back in time to post Fall projects when I've already posted about Christmas products. But I finally got to actually PLAY with one of my kits, and I just really wanted to share!

This is called a pull-out book. I used a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.com to make it. FYI, if I were to do it again, I would resize the cover to be 6" and the inserts to 4." Still, I love the colors, and love how it turned out. I am going to let my family write on the tags the things they are thankful for this year.

I used the Maya Road tag book to make a little recipe booklet. I am going to cut 3 x 5 index cards into the shape of the tags and add the recipes between the chipboard dividers.

Then I created a card and a layout. And would you believe? I still have one whole sheet of patterned paper left for a layout of Adam visiting the pumpkin patch when he was in Kinder. Now if I can only find that darn picture....

Hope you enjoy!
