It's All Relative

This layout is one of my new favorites. Not so much because I think it's terrifically artistic or genius on my part, but because it shows off some of my new favorite photos, favorite memories. These pics were taken at my family's Easter Sunday get-together. They depict one of our typical times together lately, relaxing and enjoying each other. In fact, I'm looking forward to another such time in a just a few weeks, with my siblings and their kids. Can't wait!

Layout uses Fancy Pants' My Family papers and cut-outs.

Flower Child

Simply put, I love BoBunny. Love their papers, love their stickers, love their embellishments, love their blog, love them.

So when I finally got my hands on the Flower Child line, I instantly wanted to play. Here are a couple of layouts I made using this fun stuff.

This first layout shows off one of my favorite pictures - My sweet niece Sophie on Easter Sunday. Precious!

And the second layout shows off a photo of me and two of my nieces as we prepared for the Parkinson's 5K walk in April. Here we are, all poised to run - we collectively finished last. But we had such a blast together!

Both layouts are based on sketches, one from PageMaps' May edition, and the other from Nic Howard's Dimensional Details class. Both - fun to work with.

So let's get to it. I've got a mini-tutorial to share with you for making a Christmas organizer/planner. The original concept for this planner uses a manila folder, but, lacking a new one of these, I chose to use two sheets of kraft cardstock. I scored them at 4" horizontally all the way across the pages, then at 4" vertically once. Fold the bottom score line up to form a pocket at the bottom of each page, then fold accordian-style across the width of the two pages. (See photo below). You will need to cut off one 4" section of one of the sheets of cardstock, then overlap the two pages so that you have 4 panels, then glue in place. Decorate using any patterned papers and embellishments that you like. I used MemoryWorks' December Express Kit to create mine. The kit included everything I needed to make this super-gorgeous, super-blingy planner.

June Class Layouts

I used Basic Grey's Kioshi line to create these layouts. The first is my take on a Becky Fleck class I took at GASC earlier this month. The flowers were created from white tissue paper and Glimmer Misted.



The second layout is also a Becky Fleck layout -from June's PageMaps. I cut out the butterflies out of white cardstock on my Cricut using Make the Cut software, then ran them through the Texture Boutique, then finally, Glimmer Misted them.




We had a great time creating these beautiful layouts. You can order supplies to make your own by contacting me (I am placing a group order on Wednesday of this week).
